Securing a new IT Director and Financial Controller for a visionary healthcare manufacturer so it could continue to increase its impact in the market.
This is a fast-growing business supplying lubricants and urology products to healthcare organisations across the world. Recently, the company engaged Practicus to secure two permanent leadership roles – an IT Director and a Financial Controller. In choosing Practicus, it wanted a partner that understood its brand and vision for the future: approaching the roles sensitively and with a collaborative mindset.
How we did it
To ensure candidates would fit their culture and aspirations, Practicus worked closely with the Leadership Team. Together, we created detailed job descriptions for both roles and dug beneath the initial brief to truly clarify the challenges and goals while building a compelling story for each opportunity.
We then took that story to market through our established senior leadership network, presenting the opportunity confidentially to carefully selected active and passive candidates to create a well-defined shortlist. We screened each candidate with two-hour interviews, thoroughly understanding their motivations, goals and likely cultural fit. We also carried out DISC psychometric testing to map candidates’ behavioural qualities to the culture.
We presented 10 candidates in total and attended every interview together with the client. This supported strong two-way feedback between the company’s Leadership Team and the candidates, helping shape and accelerate the decision-making process.
The overall outcome
As a result of Practicus’s successful search, the company secured two strong candidates who met all their requirements and were successfully hired.
