By partnering with Practicus, this company was able to achieve Day 1 separation readiness of its systems and IT operations. It was to be sold to a new owner but in order for that to take place, the business needed to be able to stand on its own and ready for day 1 operations under that new ownership.

How we did it

Practicus partnered with the CIO to provide strategic interim resource in support of the sale.

The focus was on an ERP programme that would enable the company to have its own core systems, remove years of technical debt and create a more customer-orientated infrastructure for the future. At the same time, the IT operation needed to be transformed and achieve Day 1 readiness. And all of this had to be achieved in only a few months so finding the right people to support the CIO quickly was critical.

The tough scheduling and multiple interdependencies also called for  professional PMO support. Practicus provided its ‘PMO as a Service’ managed service to ensure everything went to plan with adequate oversight.

The overall outcome 

Practicus delivered the right people in tight timeframes and the programmes were well tracked and governed. As a result, the company achieved Day 1 readiness on time.
