Achieving an Outstanding CQC Rating
Placement
Deputy Director of Nursing
The challenge
Due to the Deputy Director of Nursing’s sudden retirement, this NHS Trust urgently required an interim to fill the role within a very tight timeframe and all whilst the Trust was in the process of a CQC assessment.
The engagement
The interim supported the delivery against the CQC review making sure the right processes were in place.
She was also key for the workforce planning where she:
- Ran a complete review of all staffing areas
- Led on the Trust’s nursing strategy
- Looked at ways clinical effectiveness could be improved
The difference
This Trust has now been rated ‘Outstanding’ by CQC across all areas of the Trust. The nursing division and the interim’s involvement had a direct impact on this result.
“THE INTERIM TOOK THE CHALLENGE VERY WELL. SHE DELIVERED TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD AND BECAME HIGHLY REGARDED BY THE WHOLE TRUST.”
